Experience Life Beyond the Classroom

Life at Oskaloosa Christian is about more than classrooms and textbooks. Here, students discover their interests, deepen their faith, and form friendships that last. Music, athletics, clubs, and school traditions give them opportunities to grow and learn in different ways.

Athletics & Sports

On the field or court, students develop teamwork, discipline, and perseverance while growing in Christlike character. Being a part of a sports team helps our students learn how to honor God through how they compete and treat others. We offer opportunities in volleyball, football, basketball, cross country, and track.

Fine Arts & Creative Expression

Through band and choir, students use their God-given musical talents to glorify Him while developing skills and learning to work together. Whether playing instruments or using their voices in worship, they develop a heart of praise and recognize that their gifts are a form of worship and service to others.

Clubs & Student Organizations

Students have plenty of opportunities to sharpen their minds and explore new interests after school. Our Knowledge Bowl pushes them to think critically, strategize, and collaborate as a team while competing with other schools. Meanwhile, Clover Kids, a 4-H program hosted right on campus, encourages creativity and curiosity through hands-on projects and hobbies.

Spiritual Life & Faith Formation

Weekly chapels, cross-grade Discipleship Groups, and service projects provide students with opportunities to pray, worship, and live out their faith. These rhythms help form habits that last long after graduation.

Traditions & Special Events

Some of the best memories at Oskaloosa Christian are made at our much-anticipated annual events:

  • Family Christmas Dinner – Students invite their parents for a Christmas dinner and chapel, celebrating a sense of family and closeness among our school community.
  • Fall Music Program – Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade joyfully offer their musical gifts back to Jesus through this program, using worship as a way to glorify God and build community.
  • Grandparents & Special Friends Day – Students invite their grandparents or a special friend to spend the day with them, nurturing multi-generational faith within our school family.
