SONshine has been a trusted part of the Oskaloosa community since 1997. Rooted in Christian faith and academic excellence, our pre-kindergarten program supports children as unique image-bearers of Christ who learn, serve, and grow with joy. Located within Oskaloosa Christian School, we offer families the advantage of a seamless connection to a Christ-centered school community. Our program provides free tuition for four-year-olds (enrollment by September 15), flexible schedules, extended learning, and convenient bussing. With a curriculum that meets top state quality standards, our caring team—led by Director Miss Vickie along with aides Miss Kristen and Miss Lydia—creates a safe, nurturing environment. Beginning in January of 2026, Oskaloosa Christian School and SONshine Preschool are partnering together to launch an After School Care Program for ages 4–14 to better serve families in our community. This program will provide a safe, faith-based environment where students can relax, connect, and continue learning after the school day ends.
Operating each regular school day for about two hours after dismissal, it reflects our shared commitment to supporting families with both Christian education and dependable childcare.
