We have been working hard to fill our open positions for next year and we would love to pass on some exciting news about our newest hires for the 2026-2027 school year at Oskaloosa Christian.
Please take a moment and read a short bio to get acquainted with our new staff members driving the mission forward in significant ways. We are incredibly grateful to God for his continued faithfulness in bringing us such qualified Christ-centered candidates to fill our open positions.
Annika Van Dyke

We are thrilled to announce Ms. Annika Van Dyke as the new Kindergarten Aide working with Jaynee Grafke next year. Annika is currently finishing up her Associates Degree as an Educational Aide from Dordt University and will be done in May. Annika is currently a member at Faith CRC Pella and plans to move back to the area after graduation. In her free time Annika enjoys spending time with her family (especially her niece), hanging out with friends, being outdoors, and doing creative projects. Annika had great things to say about starting at Oskaloosa Christian, “I’ve developed a passion for supporting students as they learn, grow, and discover their strengths. I am very excited to join a community where Christ is at the center of education and students are being equipped to be disciples of Jesus. I believe every child has unique gifts from God, and I hope to encourage students to use their abilities and talents to glorify Him while modeling the love and joy of Jesus each day.”
Courtney DeBruin

We are delighted to announce Mrs. Courtney DeBruin as the new head volleyball coach for the 2026 season. Courtney is married to Ben and they have three children at OCS; Kinley (6th), Levi (3rd) and Blake (K). They attend 1st CRC in Oskaloosa as their church and enjoy the community there. Courtney has lots of prior coaching experience in various sports but has a special love of volleyball, playing it from 7th-12th grade at Pella Christian. She continued her education at AIB College of Business where she attained her BA in Accounting. When she has free time from attending her kids’ activities she enjoys reading or watching her kids explore the farmyard from her patio. Courtney reflected after being hired, “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and coach these young athletes in a Christlike way, on and off the court. I hope we can all have a fun time learning and playing the game.”
Cora Groenenboom

We are excited to announce Ms. Cora Groenenboom as the new assistant coach for the 26/27 volleyball season. Cora is not a new face to our school as she has already served two years as an aide in 4th grade and then 1st grade this year. She is an alum of Oskaloosa Christian (2015) and is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Northern Iowa. She was involved in volleyball as a student and looks forward to teaching the girls the finer points of the game and supporting Courtney wherever she can to keep games and practices running smoothly. Cora attends 1st CRC in Oskaloosa. In her spare time Cora enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, as well as spending time outside in God’s creation. Cora said, “Knowing the impact Osky Christian had on me, I look forward to seeing the students grow in their walk of faith.”
Please join me in welcoming these new hires to their positions for the 2026-2027 school year and the Oskaloosa Christian family!
