Laura Wielard is the 7th Grade Homeroom and Middle School ELA (English Language Arts) teacher. Laura is married to Mike and they attend Covenant URC in Pella where they were youth group leaders before they started their family. Laura serves as a pianist/organist and Mike has served as both an elder and a Cadet leader. They have two children; Katherine and Garrett. Katherine is married to Ben De Boef and they have a daughter, Karissa. Garrett will attend Morningside University this Fall as a freshman. Laura graduated from Dordt University (Business admin, Church music) and most recently has taught Jr High Reading & Literature at Sully Christian as well as long-term ELA positions at North Mahaska.
Extracurricular enjoyment includes Laura’s new role as “Grandma”, teaching piano, working in her perennial garden, collecting recipes, and following her children’s activities.
